Survive the chase

The three responses that end the most pursuits — and the conditions where each fails.

View full page

Break line of sight, then hide

Lockers end chases only if the entity lost sight of you going in — and their oxygen runs out, so treat it as a short hold.

Put the Entity Mask on, don't just hold it

It banishes the entity when activated as it closes in; one player died mid-chase still holding it in hand.

Slide through vents while it's behind you

Standing players slide through low gaps; crawling only unlocks when you're downed.

Keep your noise meter low

The hunter tracks sound — walk when the meter climbs instead of sprinting between tasks.
